Socialien is a brand new social network that my fiance and I have created. It is designed for personalization and aims to offer users what they want in a social network. It offers three different types of profiles from a Simple profile, which is an already created profile theme that only requires you to fill in information about yourself to an HTML profile, which is a blank canvas where you have full control over how your profile looks. Also, we welcome suggestions and use them to continue to improve the website. We are dedicated to our users!

I'm engaged!

I have been since October and I know I'm blogging about this a little late but nonetheless I figured I'd share the news. :) Also, for any of you who might be curious this is my engagement ring. ;)

Eeeeeeeeeek we need to catch up I think, lol. Let's see... I found an apartment to rent and we have signed the lease, booked the elevator for moving day, have them scheduled to come in to set up the internet, bought a king size mattress that will be delivered, and have a lot of furniture/appliances/stuff ready to move in two weeks. My boyfriend has also had a wonderful job opportunity come up. He just has to go through a trial week and as long as he can do the work he'll have the job after with a very generous salary, which would make things so wonderful and allow us to start saving right up for better things. :) We are also now thinking about buying a car. I'm thinking a Chevy Aveo. Pretty good on fuel and oh so adorable. XD Other than that I've still been working away at finishing up my project, started reading this series and listening to this for a TVD fix since it'll still be a few weeks before the next season.

Whoa it's been longer than I thought since I've written. Have I mentioned how quickly time has been passing by?! It's just about August which means I have to present my project soon. Ahhh. To make me feel better I of course saw Harry Potter. What an awesome ending to a wonderful series. I'm looking forward to adding it to my DVDs and completing my Harry Potter collection. It's definitely been a long time coming.

When it comes to my boyfriend's little trip to Seattle he certainly had an experience. He had back-to-back interviews for around five hours and had his flight back delayed for twelve hours. Thankfully he made it home safe and sound. However, we will not be going to Seattle. What may have affected the decision was the fact that the work Visa that he would need to have gotten requires proof of educational qualifications and he technically won't graduate until October. We also found out that to get me into the States is a bit of a hassle with the fastest way being getting married first. After his trip we also discussed how the traveling to see our families would also be tough. We've come to the conclusion that, for right now, moving to the States is not for us.

But that is a-okay. :) We instead are going with the original plan: moving to Waterloo, which is about two hours away from where we are now. I have been searching for a place to rent. It is a bit of a pain in the butt. I'm still waiting for some responses. My boyfriend has an interview there on Thursday and I'm hoping to be able to get an apartment viewing in. The nerves and excitement are starting to take hold. I cannotcannotcannot wait to move!

Oh gosh wow I know I haven't updated in a little while. Sorry for being so awol. I'll also be getting back to everyone's comments shortly. To be honest I haven't really been up to too much. Well nothing overly productive anyway. My boyfriend had his last exam on Friday so we were taken out to dinner by his parents afterwards in celebration. I then spent the rest of the weekend at their place continuing our Harry Potter marathon. Also, I finished watching the first season of True Blood. I have such mixed feelings over this show I don't even know what to think. It's a bit peculiar, there were many completely unnecessary nude/sex scenes and I didn't find the main character, Sookie, to be particularly likeable. But I like how the vampires were portrayed to be what I would expect of vampires (unlike Twilight), I like the concept of the show and I actually find there to be something interesting about it that makes me want to watch more. Not knowing what happens next has left me with an itch that needs to be scratched.

Moving on... my boyfriend is right now in Seattle! He had to leave early this morning for his flight. We were a little bit panicked because he didn't receive his plane tickets until yesterday, but thankfully that all worked out. How I wish I could've gone with him but someone needs to hold the fort down at work while he's away, lol. He has his interview with Amazon tomorrow (I hear it lasts anywhere from 5 to 8 hours) and I am so proud of him for getting so far. I have all the confidence that he will do amazing! I am looking forward to him coming back though. I know it's only a few short days but I can't help but miss him. I better go and keep myself busy. Hope you're all having a fabulous summer so far! :)

I have been playing this song for about the entire week. I find there to be something incredibly bittersweet about it. To me it acknowledges that life isn't always easy. Especially at a younger age it can seem bleak and overwhelming. Yet as you get older you start to realize how much you've overcome and looking back you wonder why you were so worried in the first place. I'd love to just go back and tell a younger self to have as much fun as possible and enjoy every minute of it. At 22 I have far more responsibilities, worries and stress, and although I may not literally 'cry now that I'm older' sometimes I feel like I have reason to. Sometime at the end of the summer I will have completed University (only have a final project to finish and present) and of course my lease will be up at the end of August so there are decisions to be made. Where do I move? What jobs do I apply for? What the hell do I really want to do with my life? Honestly, even after 4 years of University I'm still confused and unsure.

I miss the days when the biggest decision we needed to make was Bulbasaur, Squirtle or Charmander?…

WE ARE THE HARRY POTTER GENERATION!

I just saw this trailer for the final Harry Potter movie and I am incredibly excited to see it. It won't be too much longer now! It's made me really think about how much time has passed. I can remember back when I was in grade 6 everyone was reading The Goblet of Fire. I even did a book report on it, and now I'm finishing up my fourth year of University. I love that I grew up with such an epic book series, and I'm sad that it is coming to a close.

In other news, I had a lovely weekend. I went home and had quite a relaxing time. Unfortunately not much work got done but it happens. What can you do? I did however get a decent amount of reading in. Then today when I returned to my place we (my boyfriend, his parents and myself) went and saw the movie Bridesmaids (absolutely hilarious), and then had dinner at Boston Pizza. I had my favourites: thai chicken bites as a starter and then honey garlic ribs. Yummy. I highly recommend both so don't dilly dally and go get some! Teehee. ;)

P.S. Fool's Gold is on right now. Does anyone else think Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey are so adorable together in movies? I sure think so!
